Aligning Your Teams for Peak Performance

For many of us, current business conditions are the most challenging in living memory.  In these unprecedented times our organisations - and the people in them - are looking for leadership more than ever.

But what does it take to be effective now?  Just when we're most tested, we need to be operating at peak performance.  Offering clarity and certainty, maintaining morale, distinguishing ourselves in our market place, positioning ourselves for the upturn.  All at a time when our people may be distracted by understandable fears and concerns.  And in an era when the old models of power no longer work.  

Team Alignment

In response to the needs of our clients now, we're currently offering half day workshops on Team and Goal Alignment. These workshops are specifically designed to equip you with the tools you need for today’s economy; and to build and develop high performing teams in the most time-efficient way. 

We utilise the Extended DISC® Team Alignment survey methodology, which has already helped numerous organisations to understand their strengths and weaknesses and improve the performance of teams of varying sizes and functions. 

By the end of the workshop you will have: 

  • A comprehensive report measuring your team against 12 dimensions including Initiative, Commitment and Responsibility, enabling you to focus attention on areas that will make the biggest difference

  • A greater understanding of your team players’ roles and their natural behavioural styles, so that you can pre-empt potential conflict or distraction and focus on your customers instead

  • An indication of your team’s feelings, enabling you to create the most suitable work climate for your team to operate at their best

  • A comparison of your team’s current effectiveness against its potential, an action plan to follow, and a means of tracking progress over time, so that you can attain high-potential performance consistently

  • Identified key staff development needs and profiled the most powerful leadership behaviours for your organisation’s current needs.

The Process

team alignment reportFirst, team members will each complete the confidential Team Alignment questionnaire survey.  Being web-based, it’s easy and flexible for your staff to complete wherever they are located.

After completion of the questionnaire, we produce a comprehensive report summarising its results which we then discuss with you prior to facilitation of the workshop. 

The interpreted results will be presented and discussed during the workshop, which will also include a session on action planning. 

 Additionally, if required, we can train and accredit your people to interpret the results and run future feedback sessions in-house.

The workshop can be held at your place of business.  Facilitation takes only half a day, which minimises your cost and time away from work.

Once the report has been produced, a typical process involves:

  • An initial conversation about intended results with the appropriate business leader, identifying the gaps between the present and the ideal situation

  • Following this discussion, selection of the team’s most important development needs

  • Scheduling the team facilitation session

  • Running the feedback session for the entire team at the same time

  • Facilitation of a team discussion to drill down into the conclusions and creating a plan for future actions.

The workshop is designed as a stand-alone session but individual reviews or later follow-up sessions can be booked if required.
